Essential Functions

Provide outstanding member service and contribute to overall team effort. Fully understand and actively assist members in using credit union products and services. Receive checking and savings deposits - verify cash and endorsements, receive proper identification for cash back and issue receipts of deposit. Examine checks deposited and determine proper funds availability based on regulation requirements and complete hold notices. Process savings withdrawals; cash checks - verify endorsement, receive proper identification and ensure validity. Answer basic member inquiries regarding interest rates, service charges and account histories while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and member privacy policies. Issue personal money orders and cashier's checks, and cash out US Savings Bonds. Accept loan payments - verify payment amount and loan status, issue receipts. Buy and sell currency from the vault as necessary, ensuring that teller drawer cash limits are not exceeded. Maintain and regularly balance cash and other negotiable instruments, ensure teller station is properly supplied. Refer members to the proper department for issues that cannot be resolved at the teller line. Refer additional credit union products as appropriate. Perform routine support functions as assigned; including verifications, scanning, filing, reports, and returned mail. Ensure confidentiality regarding member transactions and information. Ensure actions are compliant with all credit union policies and procedures. Education and Experience
