
Customer Service Representative
We're seeking detail-oriented Customer Service Representatives to support a high-volume healthcare contact center. You'll handle inbound member and provider calls, answer questions about prior authorization and general pharmacy benefits, and accurately document each interaction across multiple systems. This is an excellent opportunity to gain industry training, grow into higher-level roles, and build a long-term career within pharmacy benefit services. What You'll Do: Handle high-volume inbound calls (approximately 50100 calls/day, depending on complexity), plus follow-up calls as needed Answer questions related to prior authorization, benefits, and other general inquiriesmaintaining confidentiality at all times Accurately enter and update information across multiple systems and tools Adhere to quality and accuracy metrics and follow standard operating procedures Provide empathetic, professional customer service while problem-solving in real time Collaborate with team leads and participate actively in training, coaching, and performance improvement What We're Looking For (Minimum Qualifications): 1+ year of recent high-volume call center experience (within the last 23 years) Stable work history (at least 1 year tenure per role; "jumpy" resumes are not approved) Typing speed of 30+ WPM Comfortable navigating multiple computer systems and documenting thoroughly Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and customer focus Willingness to work within a 7-day schedule window (5 a.m.10 p.m.), including potential weekends/holidays as assigned Nice to Have (Preferred): Healthcare, medical, or pharmacy benefit experience Pharmacy Technician certification Bilingual (please specify language) Training & Performance Expectations: 4-week paid training (MonFri, 8:00 a.m.4:30 p.m.); participation is critical You'll complete 4 tests during training; an average score of 90% is required to complete training successfully Shift bid occurs at the end of training and is based on performance (test scores/points) Expect mandatory overtime in January and February due to seasonal call volume Why This Role is a Great Career Move: Extensive industry training in pharmacy benefit management Clear pathways for advancementincluding promotion to Tier 2 Agent (increased pay) Opportunity to convert to full-time (typically 89 months) based on performance and business need Long-term growth beyond CSR into areas like Quality, Client Administration, Workforce & Reporting, Claims, PA, IT, Training, and Management Once converted to FTE, employees typically gain access to tuition reimbursement, quarterly bonuses, and discounts (e.g., travel, theme parks, movies) Work Environment: You'll join a high-performance, growth-oriented team with many contractors successfully converting to permanent roles and moving up quickly.
