Handle job assignments as determined by Team Leader or above. Job may be isolated to one job function and/or one account. Provide support service to other Import Agent for import documentation General business support function as assigned. Effectively communicate with customers, overseas agents, and subcontractors. Plan and arrange carriers for each shipment. Prepare export shipments for assigned customers. This may include shipping, labeling, and distribution of cargo. Generate pick-up orders and shipping labels as needed. Ensure shipments are processed according to internal and external compliance regulations Filing and data entry using AS/400 system. Issue freight bills and invoices and responsible for collecting unpaid invoices within credit terms. Own key accounts and ensure they are serviced with best practice and retention in mind Meet KPI standards in accordance with Company/Branch initiatives Must develop, demonstrate, and maintain professional, courteous and respectful working relationships with all customers, co-workers, subcontractors and vendors at all times. Qualifications
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalency certificate or significant or relevant or appropriate working experience. Computer proficiency (MS Work, Excel, Lotus Notes, AS/400). Some knowledge of general and Export Computer application technology desirable. Some knowledge of international commerce (sales and payment term, method, customs regulations etc.) desirable. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communications. Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule including weekends and holidays as necessary. Good teamwork skills and inclination. Organization Relationships: Will work with all levels in the organization. Work Environment: (With or without accommodations) This position is predominantly sedentary office work, which involves sitting, typing, filing, and conversing on the phone.
