Major/Essential Functions:
Determine covered charges for military benefits and arrange for benefit application and billing to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)
Investigate student balances and seek out appropriate resolutions
Professionally interact with military benefits students, their representatives, and VA counselors in order to respond to inquiries, complains or comments.
Efficiently and effectively interact with other departments within TTU to resolve student account concerns
Provide pertinent information regarding sponsored student accounts utilizing all available resources. Abide by all FERPA laws required to secure student information
Keep organized records of military benefits, customer interactions, and action taken
Demonstrate the ability to research and understand the coverage and requirements of various sponsors to ensure accurate and timely billing, and reduce subsequent adjustments to student accounts.
Contribute to process improvements, departmental initiatives, and special projects as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:
One year of training or experience working with federal and state military and veteran education benefits.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to "think outside the box."
Intermediate knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Office Suite.
