Brookdale Senior Living is hiring a Social Media Specialist to join our growing team!

Full time Monday - Friday in office (not remote)

This position will support our communities' social media content.

Responsibilities

Owner of Brookdale's corporate social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Instagram, assists with compliance, governance and training for overall company social media program, and acts as social media subject matter expert for Brookdale communities' local social media channels. Strategic owner of corporate social media channels, providing insight and guidance into best practices for channel use. Using analytical data and social media best practice knowledge, provides input to content creators by understanding channels' audience, usage and output for maximum engagement. Creates outbound marketing content from the overall strategic content marketing plan, specific to channels and makes recommendations for improving attention and engagement based on performance data. Develops and maintains social media content calendars for each channel, following the plan outlined and stays abreast of trending content that is relevant to the intended audience and acting upon when appropriate. Writes social media posts and schedules content to publish on channels that encourage readers to share the content within their social networks for maximum impact. Implements creative strategies to promote the organization's business through social media, supporting the brand with storytelling. Monitors social media audience's engagement with brand content and supports senior living advisors with responding to customer service issues, makes recommendations on handling negative comments and guides conversations with customers at the national and local levels. Supports senior living advisors inbound messages across social media platforms and, if warranted, alerts appropriate associates to negative social media posts for resolution across the enterprise. Provides governance and social media certifications to less experienced Facebook editors in communities. Regularly presents training sessions on social media best practices to the field and provides expectation of authentic content. Provides additional training as requested. Provides local community Facebook editors with branded content to be shared on local community Facebook pages, sets guidelines for community-generated content and approves locally created content to ensure alignment with the brand. Monitors community Facebook pages for compliance and activity levels, enforces standards, and makes recommendations for non-compliant pages. Routinely assesses social media channel analytics, provides analysis and makes recommendations for continuous improvement. Assists with the assessment of implementation options based on continuously evolving social media platforms and recommends the most appropriate processes.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Advertising Design, Marketing, or other related field required. Two years of experience in Graphic Design or Advertising Design and/or social media preferred. Experience with social media management and reporting software like Sprinklr Additional years of relevant experience can be substituted for the education requirement on a year for year basis.
