As a Construction Contracts Specialist, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of construction contracts, from the initial request for proposal to the final sign-off. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including subcontractors, attorneys, and insurance companies, to ensure that all contracts are executed efficiently and effectively. This position requires a proactive and cooperative individual with a positive attitude and strong strategic planning skills.Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of construction contracts, from drafting and negotiating terms to issuing letters of intent and auditing contracts. Handle requests for proposal and manage awarded contracts, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date. Work closely with subcontractors, managing their contracts and ensuring that all work is completed in accordance with the contract terms. Apply attorney markups to contracts and negotiate terms to ensure the best possible outcome for the company. Handle insurance renewals and request certificates, working closely with insurance companies to ensure that all coverage is adequate and up-to-date. Manage vehicle contracts, ensuring that all vehicles are properly insured and maintained. File and track licenses with the CSLB and county, ensuring that all licenses are current and valid. Process bonds and handle contractor-controlled insurance programs, including OCIP and CCIP. Provide notary services as needed and manage all aspects of document management, including creating project references and managing contract files. Conduct strategic planning to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of contract management processes.Qualifications: Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar role in the construction industry. Proven experience with proactive contract management, including drafting, negotiating, and auditing contracts. Strong knowledge of construction operations and the ability to manage subcontracts effectively. Experience with insurance renewals and contractor-controlled insurance programs. Familiarity with CSLB and county licensing requirements. Ability to manage vehicle contracts and process bonds. Strong document management skills, including the ability to create project references and manage contract files. Excellent strategic planning skills and the ability to improve contract management processes. Notary certification is a plus. Positive attitude and cooperative nature, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders. Proficiency in coding invoices is preferred.Interested in hearing more?
