Job Overview A sophisticated Am Law firm is seeking a Real Estate Leasing & Development Associate with 4–7 years of experience to join its Tampa, FL office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with a strong background in commercial leasing and real estate development who is looking to work on high‑level matters involving complex assets and infrastructure‑heavy projects.

This position rarely opens at this level and the team is actively interviewing. The selected attorney will play a key role in advising clients across the lifecycle of commercial real estate transactions, including leasing, development, and regulatory coordination tied to power, utilities, and data‑driven facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate sophisticated commercial leasing agreements

Handle transfer consents, lender subordination agreements, work letters, estoppels, and SNDAs

Advise on development issues involving power, water, and fiber‑optic infrastructure

Support zoning, entitlement, and permitting processes for complex real estate projects

Assist with data center and energy‑related development and leasing matters

Work directly with partners and senior attorneys on high‑value transactions

Interface with institutional clients, developers, and lenders

Contribute to strategic planning and execution of large‑scale real estate matters

Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing

4–7 years of commercial leasing experience within a law firm environment

Am Law 100 firm experience required

Experience with service level agreements and data center construction preferred

Strong understanding of real estate development and infrastructure‑related issues

Ability to manage matters independently while collaborating with teams
