True Lacrosse Foundation is a nonprofit organization advancing youth development, mentorship, and leadership through sport-based after-school programming. Through strong school and community partnerships, we deliver structured, high-impact programs that promote academic engagement, character development, and athletic growth. POSITION SUMMARY
The Chicago Program Director will provide on-site leadership for all Chicago-based programming. This role combines nonprofit program management, youth mentorship, and lacrosse coaching leadership across multiple partner schools. The Director will supervise staff, coach student-athletes, manage school partnerships, and ensure high-quality implementation of the Foundation’s curriculum and safety standards. This is a fully in-person leadership role at the following locations: Austin College and Career Academy – Chicago, IL Catalyst Circle Rock Charter School – Chicago, IL Duke K. Ellington School – Chicago, IL KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and oversee Chicago after-school lacrosse programming Coach and mentor student-athletes while modeling professionalism Supervise coaches, staff, and volunteers Manage scheduling, logistics, and daily operations Maintain strong relationships with school administrators and partners Oversee attendance, documentation, and incident reporting Support data collection, impact reporting, and program evaluation Enforce safety protocols and organizational policies The Chicago Program Director reports directly to the Executive Director. SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION
Monday–Thursday, approximately four hours per day Virtual Management hours range Base on experience, $24 - $36 hourly Mileage reimbursement at the IRS standard business rate Programming dates are subject to adjustment based on school schedules and staffing needs. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Lacrosse playing experience Lacrosse coaching experience, preferably with youth or high school athletes Nonprofit experience in youth development, athletics, or community programming Demonstrated leadership and supervision skills Strong organizational and communication abilities
