Design & Construction Sales Specialist (Outdoor Living) Fort Worth, TX | On-site + In-home Client Visits | Full-Time

The Collective Outdoors is a family‑owned outdoor design, construction, and retail company creating turnkey outdoor living spaces across Fort Worth and DFW. We design and build complete outdoor living remodels, outdoor kitchens, patios, shade structures, and premium outdoor environments, and support it all with a 10,000 sq ft showroom featuring high‑end furniture, grills, and outdoor products.

We are educators, designers, and problem‑solvers.

This is a true consultative sales role, helping homeowners make smart, confident decisions and turning those plans into projects.

What You'll Do

Own the sales process from first contact to signed contract

Conduct in‑home consultations and site visits with homeowners

Create 3D designs and renderings using Structure Studios (VIP 3D)

Build outdoor layouts, select materials, and integrate equipment/appliances

Develop budgets and proposals aligned with company pricing standards

Present designs, guide decisions, and close projects with confidence

Upsell additional products/services when it improves the project outcome

Manage permitting/inspection documentation and job paperwork

Track all communication, files, and contracts inside JobTread CRM

Collaborate with Owner, PM, Sales, and Marketing teams

Complete initial designs within 7 business days

Return all client communications same business day

Support showroom customers when available

Who We're Looking For This role is ideal for someone who has experience in:

Outdoor living / remodeling / construction sales

Kitchen & bath, home improvement, or design‑build environments

Project‑based consultative sales (high ticket, longer cycle, relationship‑driven)

You should be comfortable leading a homeowner through the full process: site visit, design, proposal, contract, project handoff.

Qualifications

5+ years in construction or remodeling sales (or closely related field)

2+ years using design software (Structure Studios, Pool Studios, SketchUp, etc.)

Confident meeting clients in their homes and presenting solutions

Strong understanding of pricing, margins, and proposal building

Consultative approach: education > pressure

Highly organized, detail‑oriented, deadline‑driven

High integrity, team‑first mindset

Working knowledge of:

concrete, stonework, framing

electrical + plumbing basics

irrigation and drainage considerations

Compensation & Benefits

Full‑time, W-2 position

$50k-$60k base salary + $20k-$40k+ potential performance bonus

Bonus tied to sales + gross profit goals

Performance‑driven earnings with clear targets

Typical schedule Monday-Friday. Saturdays may be required February through July (peak season).
