Description

The Accounting Reconciliation Specialist supports daily and monthly accounting operations within a multi-location healthcare organization. This role is primarily responsible for revenue, cash, and account reconciliations and plays a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial records across multiple providers and entities.

Key Responsibilities Daily Revenue & Cash Operations

Perform daily reconciliation of accounts receivable receipts for a 52-provider, four-location healthcare operation

Prepare and distribute daily cash reports

Process and reconcile daily check deposits

Reconcile daily credit card purchase activity

Perform weekly reconciliation of credit card revenue

Monthly Accounting & Reconciliations

Prepare monthly reconciliations for select Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet accounts in QuickBooks

Assist with month-end close activities

Identify discrepancies and coordinate resolution in a timely manner

Banking & Cash Controls

Perform monthly bank reconciliations for twelve (12) bank accounts

Support cash flow tracking and variance analysis

Ensure compliance with internal controls related to cash handling and deposits

Accounts Payable – Affiliated Real Estate Entities

Process and support accounts payable for two affiliated real estate entities

Ensure invoices are properly coded, documented, and processed timely

Systems & Process Support

Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks

Follow established accounting procedures and healthcare compliance standards

Assist with process documentation and continuous improvement initiatives

Coordinate with internal departments and external accountants as needed

Requirements Required

Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred)

Two (2) to four (4) years of accounting or bookkeeping experience

Experience with reconciliations and high-volume transactions

Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel

Strong attention to detail and ability to meet daily and monthly deadlines

Preferred

Healthcare or medical practice accounting experience

Experience supporting multi-location operations

Exposure to insurance reimbursements or provider-based revenue

Real estate accounting exposure
