The firm works extensively with clients in the (re)insurance and investment fund sectors, including SEC registrants, hedge funds, private equity funds, captive insurance companies, and ILS structures, providing integrated tax compliance, planning, and strategic advisory services. The practice also supports clients in meeting local regulatory obligations, including Economic Substance, Pillar 2, VAT, and AEOI (FATCA/CRS), leveraging in-depth expertise in U.S. and international tax rules relevant to these industries. This is a unique opportunity for a senior tax professional to combine technical excellence with strategic leadership while delivering solutions for complex cross-border structures. Role Overview
The Tax Partner will lead the firm’s U.S. tax practice for clients in the (re)insurance and investment fund sectors, including corporations, partnerships, and other complex structures. This role combines technical authority, client advisory, and business growth leadership. You will
You will: Set the strategic direction for U.S. tax services and act as senior advisor to multinational clients on structuring, complex tax matters, and major developments such as U.S. tax reform and OECD BEPS initiatives. Lead the preparation, review, and final sign-off of complex U.S. tax returns, ASC 740 provisions, and cross-border arrangements. Ensure technical excellence and compliance with U.S. domestic and international tax rules, including CFC, PFIC, FATCA, and other regulatory requirements. Support clients in meeting local obligations, including Economic Substance, Pillar 2, VAT, and AEOI. Drive business growth by expanding the firm’s market presence, strengthening long-term client relationships, and contributing to strategic development initiatives. Mentor and develop senior leaders, shape firm policies, and contribute to regional and global decisions that influence the future of the practice. Ideal Experience & Background
CPA (EA, LLM in Taxation, or equivalent international credential also considered) 15+ years of U.S. tax experience in a public accounting or professional services firm with recognized expertise in corporate and partnership taxation Deep knowledge of ASC 740, U.S. domestic and international tax rules, and the taxation of insurance companies, investment partnerships, and multinational structures Proven ability to manage complex technical work, deliver accurate results, and provide strategic guidance to senior clients Strong track record of leading teams, mentoring senior staff, and contributing to firm strategy Willingness to relocate to the Caribbean (relocation support and work permit sponsorship provided) Competitive compensation package based on experience and qualifications Full relocation assistance and work permit sponsorship Comprehensive medical and pension plans Opportunity to work in a collaborative, innovative professional services environment with a global client base Why the Caribbean?
