Pave Talent, California, Missouri, United States, 65018

Save Job

Pave Talent is hiring on behalf of our client, a 100% employee-owned Southern California commercial general contractor with multiple offices statewide. They deliver high-profile projects across education, healthcare, civic, entertainment, and hospitality, the kind of builds that shape communities and win industry recognition.

THE OPPORTUNITY You'll support the development, coordination, and production of proposals, qualifications packages, and marketing deliverables for project pursuits. You'll work alongside a Proposal Manager and a tight-knit team of 4 to 5 marketing professionals, with direct mentorship from a 14+ year industry veteran who has seen coordinators grow into managers and beyond.

This is an excellent launch pad for someone building a career in construction marketing. You'll get exposure to the full pursuit cycle, from RFQs and RFPs to interview prep and client events, while developing skills in technical writing, data management, and creative production using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.

THE CAREER PATH This isn't a dead-end coordinator role. The team has a track record of developing talent internally. Marketing Coordinators have progressed to Proposal Manager and Senior Proposal Manager roles at this company. If you want to own pursuits eventually, this is where you learn how.

THREE MUST-HAVES

Marketing or Proposal Coordination Experience.

You've supported RFQ/RFP responses, helped assemble qualifications packages, or managed marketing deliverables in a professional setting. Construction or AEC industry experience is strongly preferred, but we'll consider candidates with transferable skills from architecture, engineering, or professional services firms.

Detail Orientation and Data Management.

You're the person who catches formatting inconsistencies, typos, and data mismatches before they go out the door. You can maintain accurate project data, manage resume databases, and keep information sheets current without things falling through the cracks.

Written Communication Skills.

You can write clearly and edit for consistency. You don't need to be a creative director, but you need to produce polished, professional content that represents a company well to prospective clients.

STRONG FIT

1 to 3 years of experience in marketing, proposals, or construction industry coordination

Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)

Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field

Collaborative mindset and excited to learn in-office from experienced team members

You've worked with CRM systems or databases and understand the importance of clean data

NOT A FIT

Candidates who need to be fully remote. This is an on-site role (5 days initially for training, with flexibility earned over time).

Pure social media or digital marketing specialists with no proposal or content production experience.

Candidates looking for a solo contributor role. This is a collaborative, team-driven environment where you'll work closely with Proposal Managers, BD teams, and project executives.
