
Department Overview
Middle Market Lending Team provides senior, one-stop and second lien loans to U.S. middle market companies. The team structures financing solutions with hold positions of up to $1 billion. We also underwrite and syndicate senior credit facilities and a proprietary suite of GOLD (unitranche) facilities up to $2 billion. The Middle Market Lending Team has specialty teams in five verticals: Consumer, Restaurant and Retail, Diversified Industries, Financial Services, Healthcare and Software & Technology services. The team has an outstanding track record of closing deals on time and at the agreed‑upon terms, utilizing deep industry knowledge to identify, advise on and implement value‑creation strategies. Key responsibilities include origination and underwriting of loans. The team works closely with all areas of the Firm to ensure seamless execution.

Position Responsibilities
Developing strong relationships with Originators and providing them with best‑in‑class reporting and presentations to engage private equity (“PE”) sponsors
Utilizing CRM data to build insightful reporting on covered sponsors; managing and monitoring the CRM system to ensure data accuracy in collaboration with the DL Data Team
Conducting market intelligence to find relevant insights for the Originators and tracking competitor data such as people moves, fundraising, spin‑offs and new businesses
Creating, updating and distributing proprietary reports on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis aimed at business development; responding to all ad‑hoc business requests
Coordinating relationship marketing activities by managing recurring content updates to improve sponsor relationships and supporting meeting and conference needs in partnership with the Marketing Team
Manage internal initiatives focused on developing, coordinating and supporting team member participation in investor meetings
Candidate Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required
4+ years of experience in a similar role; financial services industry or B2B background preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; the ability to express ideas clearly and concisely and communicate effectively
Advanced in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to analyze data and create a narrative using data
Meticulous attention to detail, accuracy and drive to deliver high‑quality work
Proactive mentality and ability to anticipate needs of the business
High energy and self‑motivation

Compensation & Benefits For New York Only: It is expected that the base salary range for this position will be $130,000 to $155,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as skills, experiences and qualifications for the role. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial and / or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as vacation, sick time and parental leave) dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, the employee will be in an ‘at‑will position’ and the Firm reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time including for reasons related to individual performance, Firm or individual department / team performance and market factors.
