
Registered Nurse, ACCU, Experience RN only
Join Cincinnati Children’s as a Registered Nurse in the Acute Care Cardiology Unit (ACCU). This position is for experienced RNs only and requires an active Ohio RN license.
Job Responsibilities
Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards, supporting compliance efforts and ensuring safety policies are followed.
Utilise systems thinking to coordinate care for patients and families, ensuring safety and adherence to departmental policies.
Apply clinical judgement in caring practices: collect data, follow protocols, document care plans, and anticipate future needs; provide education using teach‑back techniques.
Engage in clinical inquiry and performance review to improve practice, including peer reviews, annual goal setting, and participation in safety best‑practice initiatives.
Collaborate through shared decision‑making and interprofessional practice, contributing to unit‑based councils and governance.
Advocate for patients, integrate cultural and age‑specific considerations into care, and respond to inclusion and moral agency expectations.
Job Qualifications
Associate or Diploma RN from an ACEN, CCNE or NLN CNEA accredited institution with 2+ years experience. Must enroll in a BSN or MSN program within 1 year if hired without a degree, and complete within 5 years.
Preferred: BSN or MSN from an accredited institution.
Active Ohio RN license (other state licenses may be required).
Foreign graduates must have license validated through TruMerit™ per Ohio Board of Nursing code for Foreign Graduates.
Location Burnet Campus
Schedule & Shift Full time, rotating shifts. 36 weekly hours (0.9 FTE). Expecting 36 hrs, hourly rate $34.00–$41.40 per hour.
