highly experienced Senior Licensed Customs Broker

to join its leadership team. This firm, founded as a Customs Brokerage, has extensive expertise in government agency interaction, regulatory compliance, and complex import environments. This role is perfect for a broker who excels in

hands-on compliance, building trusted-advisor relationships, and engaging with government agencies , while also playing a key role in crafting strategic import solutions for a diverse range of global clients. Our warehousing operations are strategically positioned near the NY/NJ ports, ensuring seamless access to international shipments and port operations. Key Responsibilities Act as the

Licensed Customs Broker of record

to ensure full compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Partner Government Agencies (PGAs). Oversee import operations involving

government contracts and regulated commodities . Serve as the primary point of contact with CBP officers and federal agencies such as FDA, USDA, and EPA. Develop and enhance

customs compliance programs and standard operating procedures (SOPs) . Provide guidance to internal teams and clients on tariff classification, valuation, country of origin, and duty mitigation strategies. Maintain accuracy and compliance in all entries, audits, reconciliations, and recordkeeping activities. Support freight forwarding operations by offering customs expertise across air, ocean, and ground shipments. Keep abreast of regulatory changes and proactively address compliance risks. Qualifications Active U.S. Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) - REQUIRED At least

7-10+ years of customs brokerage and import compliance experience . A solid background working with

government agencies and regulated imports - REQUIRED Proven track record in managing audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory inquiries. In-depth knowledge of HTS classification, valuation, PGA requirements, and customs regulations. Experience in supporting freight forwarding operations -
