Project Manager/Estimator

Requirements Duties and Responsibilities for Electrical Estimators/Project Managers Include: Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide exceptional, first-class customer service. Estimate and bid on new project opportunities promptly as received. Demonstrate proficiency in reading site plans and a comprehensive understanding of electrical and fire alarm systems. Be skilled in using project management and bidding software. Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers, peers, supervisors, administrative staff, field craft workers, field supervision, vendors, subcontractors, inspectors, and power companies. Execute and manage all terms of project contracts effectively. Collaborate with Foreman, Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Estimators to ensure a complete scope of work is defined. Oversee and manage project budgets and costs diligently. Develop and manage precise cost projections and evaluate project performance; regularly update Work-In-Progress reports. Create and manage project schedules with milestone deadlines to achieve goals. Prepare and present computer-generated spreadsheets and reports. Maintain regular communication and collaboration with the entire project team, including the Project Foreman, Project Manager, General Contractor, Architect/Engineer, and other subcontractors. Manage communications with General Contractors or Construction Managers for assigned projects effectively. Generate new work by establishing relationships and nurturing connections with Owners and General Contractors. Recommend methods and improvements based on project needs and resource capabilities. Review, analyze, and provide recommendations on project change orders. Offer creative and innovative solutions to customers. Estimate, price, and negotiate change orders as required. Analyze drawings, specifications, and other construction documents to confirm project requirements and explore opportunities for value engineering. Exhibit attention to detail, efficiency, and integrity in all aspects of work. Conduct and document procurement activities, including, but not limited to, materials, tools, and subcontracts. Address and resolve customer concerns or grievances as necessary. Ensure job site employees maintain a safe and efficient work environment. Attend and conduct meetings as needed. Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety programs. Travel to various project sites as required. Physical Demands The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance; as well as stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
