We are looking for a skilled Technical Writer to join our
Technology Content Experience
team within Products and Technology. In this role, you will collaborate with product leadership, service owners, and engineers dedicated to developing AI-powered products for Agentforce, onboard services to our Hyperforce framework, and secure our technological infrastructure. Your primary focus will be on documenting monitoring and availability tools and services at Salesforce, working directly with Availability & Infrastructure Engineering leadership to produce thorough documentation that guarantees high availability for our offerings. This position provides a unique chance to leverage advanced GenAI tools, act as a consultant, and create content enablement solutions that propel innovation across our engineering teams. Key Responsibilities Document monitoring and availability tools and services for Salesforce's infrastructure. Collaborate with Availability & Infrastructure Engineering leadership to evaluate and support both internal and third-party AI tools. Create onboarding guides for infrastructure to support Day 2 operations. Develop playbooks, guides, videos, and other technical content in partnership with our training department. Deliver effective content through various mediums including MD/Git, Confluence, newsletters, and Slack. Create process flow and database architecture diagrams. Craft content targeted toward end-users, specifically for technical and engineering audiences. Long-Term Impact Drive innovation through comprehensive content enablement strategies. Establish documentation standards that ensure high availability of Salesforce infrastructure. Build and sustain a robust content strategy supporting our developer experience initiatives. Implement documentation best practices using GenAI tools to expedite the content development lifecycle. Required Qualifications Technical degree related to the field. 8-10+ years of experience in documenting software for technical and engineering audiences. Demonstrable ability to write clear, concise, and user-friendly technical content. Experience with infrastructure, service, or DevOps documentation. Exceptional project and stakeholder management skills. Capability to manage multiple priorities, define uncertain scopes, and align stakeholder expectations. Self-management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and seek alignment. Proven ability to create process flow and database architecture diagrams. Experience in producing content for end-users and the ability to quickly grasp complex technologies. High-quality standards and meticulous attention to detail. Proficiency with common authoring tools and version control software like Perforce/Git. Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. Customer-first mindset. Experience working in an Agile development environment. Preferred Qualifications Background in documenting infrastructure and DevOps processes. Familiarity with GenAI tools and concepts with a keen interest in applying GenAI for content creation. Knowledge of AWS/Google Cloud/Azure service documentation. Working knowledge of Markdown/Git and the docs-as-code philosophy. Able to read, understand, and produce short code examples in various programming languages. Prior experience with cloud-based service providers. Experience in crafting GenAI prompts. Programming background.
