The Cloud Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Cloud Native and hybrid cloud solutions that support the organizations business objectives. This role requires expertise in cloud platforms, architecture, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and reliable cloud environments.

What youll be doing:
  • Design and develop cloud architecture solutions leveraging Azure services (e.g., App Services, AKS, Logic Apps, Function Apps, Key Vault, Storage, VMs)
  • Influence and support the migration of workloads from SUSE Rancher to AKS, including networking, service mesh, and observability considerations.
  • Author and review Terraform modules; enforce internal standards and best practices for IaC
  • Design and maintain hub-spoke network topologies, private endpoints, NSGs, and Azure Firewall configurations. Collaborate on security architecture and compliance initiatives
  • Ensure cloud solutions are secure, cost-effective, and meet performance requirements in partnership with FinOps and other teams
  • Identify the enterprises top priorities and accurately convert business needs and expectations to requirements
  • Influence and enhance deployment workflows using ArgoCD and related tooling.
  • Actively participate in the Enterprise Architecture Center of Excellence
  • Coach and mentor junior engineers; collaborate with shared services teams
What you need:
  • Bachelors degree in computer science or related field; advanced degree preferred
  • 3+ years of Cloud Architecture
  • 7+ years of Cloud Engineering experience with Azure
  • Networking fundamentals (hub-spoke, private endpoints, hybrid connectivity)
  • Security principles (RBAC, NSGs, Azure Firewall)
  • Troubleshooting in complex cloud environments
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements for cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of common programming languages (C#, Python, etc), common diagramming notations (UML, IE, etc.) and Windows and Linux systems preferred
