Overview

The Enterprise Solutions Architect is responsible for defining and governing the end-to-end enterprise architecture across frontend, backend, integration, and cloud platforms. This role ensures alignment between business strategy, technology platforms, and delivery execution, enabling scalable, resilient, and composable digital platforms across web, mobile, desktop, and associate-facing retail environments.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Architecture & Strategy

Define and maintain the enterprise technology blueprint covering:
Frontend platforms (ReactJS, React Native, Micro-Frontends, SDUI)
Backend platforms (.NET microservices, BFFs, event-driven systems)
Cloud and infrastructure (Azure, Kubernetes, CI/CD)
Translate business capabilities into modular, composable architecture models.
Drive long-term technology roadmap planning, balancing innovation, scalability, and risk.

Platform & Domain Architecture Governance

Govern domain ownership and bounded contexts across frontend and backend systems using Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
Ensure consistent application of Clean Architecture, CQRS, and event-driven principles across teams.
Define standards for Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) patterns and frontend integration contracts.

Frontend & Experience Architecture

Provide architectural oversight for:
Micro-Frontend architectures (SSR, CSR, Module Federation)
ReactJS and React Native platforms across web, mobile, and desktop
Server-Driven UI (SDUI) and Atomic Design implementations
Ensure frontend platforms support white-labeling, multi-brand, and multi-region use cases.
Guide design system strategy and UI shell patterns for associate-facing and customer-facing applications.

Backend & Integration Architecture

Define enterprise standards for .NET microservices on Azure.
Govern event-driven architecture, including messaging, domain events, and integration patterns.
Ensure APIs and services are designed for scalability, versioning, and backward compatibility.
Guide integration strategies with headless CMS, MBaaS, POS systems, and third-party platforms.

Resilience, Reliability & Scalability

Define enterprise-wide resilience and reliability standards, including:
Circuit breakers, retries, bulkheads, and timeouts
Graceful degradation and fallback strategies
Eventual consistency models
Ensure systems remain operational during partial failures, downstream outages, and traffic spikes.
Align architectural decisions with performance, availability, and scalability goals.

Cloud & Infrastructure Architecture

Define Azure-native architecture patterns using:
AKS, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Cosmos DB, Azure SQL
Govern containerization, Kubernetes strategies, and CI/CD pipelines.
Ensure security, compliance, and cost-optimization considerations are embedded into architecture decisions.

Technology Governance & Decision Making

Establish architecture guardrails, reference architectures, and decision records (ADRs).
Lead architecture reviews and approve cross-team design decisions.
Evaluate and rationalize technology choices across the enterprise.
Balance build vs buy decisions for commerce, CMS, and platform capabilities.

Collaboration & Leadership

Partner with Product, Engineering, Security, and Operations leadership.
Mentor Architects, Tech Leads, and Senior Engineers.

Cloud-native backend systems (.NET, Azure, microservices)

Deep understanding of:
Composable commerce architectures

Event-driven systems
Clean Architecture principles
Proven experience designing resilient, distributed systems.
Strong understanding of cross-platform application ecosystems (Web, Mobile, Desktop).
Ability to communicate complex architecture to technical and executive audiences

Preferred / Desirable Qualifications

Experience in retail, POS, or high-volume transactional systems.
Exposure to B2B commerce platforms.
Familiarity with Kotlin Multiplatform / Compose Multiplatform ecosystems.
Experience defining enterprise design system strategies.
Background in large-scale digital transformation initiatives.

Job brief

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Media Cloud Technical Architect to lead the technical design and delivery of Media Cloud solutions, leveraging Salesforce Industries (Vlocity) capabilities for the media and entertainment sector. The ideal candidate will combine deep Salesforce platform expertise with an understanding of media subscription, content monetization, and advertising workflows. This role involves defining scalable architectures, guiding development teams, and ensuring seamless integration across Salesforce applications and external systems.

Responsibilities

Lead the technical architecture, design, and implementation of Salesforce Media Cloud solutions
Define and document architecture blueprints covering Media Cloud data models, order management, and product catalog design
Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, and developers to translate media-specific business processes into Salesforce capabilities
Configure and optimize Industries features such as Media Product Catalog, Order Management, and Contract Lifecycle Management
Design and implement integrations with external media systems (CRM, ad sales, billing, fulfillment, and subscription platforms)
Guide development teams on OmniStudio (OmniScripts, DataRaptors, Integration Procedures, FlexCards) and Salesforce core development (Apex, LWC)
Establish and enforce development standards, coding practices, and release management strategies
Ensure scalability, performance, and compliance with security and data governance best practices
Mentor developers and technical leads to build in-house expertise on Media Cloud and related technologies
Stay current with Salesforce Media Cloud and Communications, Media & Energy Cloud roadmap updates

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
7+ years of experience on the Salesforce platform, with at least 3+ years working with Salesforce Industries (Vlocity)
Proven experience designing and implementing Salesforce Media Cloud or Communications, Media & Energy Cloud solutions
Strong understanding of Media Cloud data model and industry processes such as order-to-cash, ad sales, content monetization, and subscription management
Hands-on experience with OmniStudio tools (OmniScripts, DataRaptors, Integration Procedures, FlexCards)
Proficiency in Salesforce development (Apex, LWC, Flows) and integration patterns using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware (e.g., MuleSoft)
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and environment management (e.g., Gearset, Copado, GitHub Actions)
Salesforce certifications such as Industries CPQ Developer, OmniStudio Consultant, or System/Application Architect are highly desirable
Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and stakeholder communication skills
Experience in the media, advertising, or entertainment industry is a strong advantage
