
The Human Resources Benefits Specialist reports to the Human Resources Department Manager.
The position is an exempt, salaried role and is part of the MWG-Corporate Division.
The job is located at 500 Steed Road, Ridgeland MS 39157.
GENERAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Interpret and explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations.
- Explain benefits to employees and coordinate any changes for open enrollment, new hires, or life event changes. Upload benefit changes in Isolved including attached documents.
- Reconcile benefits with Payroll Manager on deductions and billing.
- Communicate with Payroll and Eligibility to ensure feed goes to COBRA and providers including 401K new enrollees or changes.
- Review COBRA each month for coordination and payment.
- Oversee receptionist (questions and scheduling).
- Meet with employees on FMLA and STD as needed.
- Maintaining files in Sharepoint, Isolved, Employee Files.
- Perform other duties as assigned by VP, Human Resources.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED required. Associates or bachelors degree preferred.
- Must have at least 1 year of previous Data entry with HRIS system and/or HR or payroll experience.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in the Human Resources field.
- Previous experience in Benefits Administration or Coordination is preferred.
- Must be able to work under tedious deadline requirements.
- Must demonstrate a Customer Service attitude; be able to multi-task and have good organizational skills; and have a professional attitude and appearance.
- Must possess strong time management, organizational, problem solving, teamwork and customer service skills.
- Must be able to work well under pressure with multiple priorities and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to details.

- Must be able to perform in a very high paced environment while multi-tasking or handling interruptions.
- Must have the ability to work independently while practicing effective time management skills.
- Must be able to prioritize projects, work multiple projects simultaneously, and meet project deadlines in an organized manner.

- Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills are required.
- Must be able to handle stressful situations appropriately.
- Must maintain confidentiality and privacy in every aspect of the job.
JOB ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

- Must be able to work as scheduled.
- Must possess sight and hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of the position as stated above can be fully met.
- Must be able to bend, stretch, reach, and sit or stand at a desk during 85% of the workday.
- Must be able to lift, stoop, and carry small equipment items and supplies, possibly weighing up to 20lbs.
