Summary
Summary: The Director is responsible for the strategic alignment of the Human Resources service line, including operations, policies, programs and initiatives with the Organization. The Associate Director supervises Human Resource practices and objectives, including the HR Service Center that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes core values, wellness, quality, safety, productivity and goal attainment. As a member of the HR leadership team, this position will report to the Regional Vice President of Human Resources and will play a key role in driving the organizations emerging high quality culture, talent acquisition and succession management, organization design, leadership development and assessment, as well as assist and support the Regional Vice President in administering and coordinating employee benefits programs. Employee must have access to reliable transportation to travel between multiple work sites; and is required in order to perform essential duties. Periodic travel may be required.
Education
Education: Bachelors Degree in related field required, Masters degree strongly preferred.
Licensure
Licensure: PHR/SPHR preferred.
Experience
Experience: 8-10 years in a progressive leadership role. Broad business sense and understanding of all human resource functions including contemporary issues that impact the health care industry. Experience in change management, and demonstrated skills as a practical leader with a sensitivity to the demands in health care and in creating opportunities for organizational change. Demonstrated experience in working strategically and hands on as required is expected in this role. Practical experience in labor relations and contract negotiations is required. Technical experience utilizing Microsoft Office Products, applicant tracking and reference tools/software.

Working Conditions, Physical Environment and/or Safety Requirements
The Human Resources Specialist will work simultaneously on the telephone and computer constantly throughout the day. A keyboard and mouse use is frequent throughout the day. Information presented verbally and on the computer screen is processed. In the performance of work tasks the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, and/or feel; and talk and/or hear and see. The employee is also occasionally required to stand and/or walk. The estimated overall strength requirement of the job of a Human Resources Associate may be classified as Light. Light work indicates that the job involves handling 0 to 20 lbs Frequently (F) or Significant Walking or Standing.
