Steampunk Salesforce Developer

As a Steampunk Salesforce Developer, you will work with Technical/Solutions Architects and Business Analysts to translate business requirements into well-architected solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platform. Develop, test, document and maintain solutions, integrations, and data migration elements of a Salesforce implementation using Salesforce declarative or programmatic development resources such as triggers, workflows, validations, approvals, Apex classes, Visualforce pages and Lightning components. Execute test plans to ensure quality delivery using test code and unit tests. Follow coding standards and participate in code reviews during projects to ensure appropriate design patterns are followed.

Contributions

Design, develop, test, document, and deploy high quality business solutions on the SFDC platform based on industry best practices as well as business needs
Manage the process of implementing improvements and new functionality in SFDC application
Deliver support and solutions for break/fix issues
Communicate and collaborate with other technical resources and stakeholders regarding status, technical issues and creative solutions
Perform Salesforce administration (create accounts / profiles, defining fields, updating layouts, reports, dashboards etc.) and development
Ability to support Salesforce.com configuration tasks such as field/page updates, workflows, automated approvals
Handle numerous projects/priorities using proven project management methodologies and sound development practices to ensure the quality delivery of enterprise solutions
Monitor Salesforce.com usage for compliance
Maintain security for Salesforce.com data
Interface with business analysts and technical staff and be responsible for delivering complete work products
Implement App Exchange platforms
Research integration issues and work closely with team members on operations and development staff
Research and development of new Salesforce.com prototypes and applications
Research and keep current on force.com technologies and communicate trends and future needs to leadership
Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of applications
Build client trust and respect, establish client relationships, and develop rapport with client
Participate and engage in all team meetings

Qualifications

Salesforce development and implementation experience.
Salesforce Certified Professional with a 5+ years experience
Experience delivering a salesforce project using Agile
Experience with Salesforce Development and Deployment Tools
Experience leading, mentoring, and overseeing the work of junior developers
Experience declarative configuration, Apex development, and Lightening development.
Able to translate user stories into working software with minimal oversight.
Must have a BA/BS degree
Required Certifications: Salesforce Platform App Builder, Salesforce Platform Developer II, and Salesforce Administrator
Preferred Certifications: Salesforce Sales Cloud Consultant, Salesforce Service Cloud Consultant, and at least one other cloud specific certification (Marketing or Community)

About Steampunk

Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. Senior Business Analysts

Steampunk is seeking Senior Business Analysts who are technical, creative, hands-on experts with delivering innovative technology solutions. Ideal candidates will thrive working with clients in a consultative capacity and will have experience gathering business requirements for Federal government clients for technical teams building Salesforce systems.

Responsibilities include:

Envision, develop, and create requirements to improve tools to streamline processes to gain efficiencies and improve key metrics.
Must be able to identify and mitigate risks.
Excellent communication skills who can work with key stakeholders/customers to support planning and delivery of technical Salesforce development Agile projects.
Apply different techniques to facilitate meetings and workshops, create a shared understanding with stakeholders, and engage team-members to produce product and portfolio roadmaps.
Collaborate with stakeholders and product teams to decompose large epics into features and user stories that can be understood and approved by members of the development team.
Facilitate Increment and planning sessions with clients and team members to ensure that planned work is well defined, planned, articulated, and understood.
Document Acceptance Criteria in stories in a way that both development team, testers and business stakeholders can understand and agree on the content.
Use excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and present findings and recommendations.
Handle administrative functions in Salesforce applications including maintenance of user accounts, profiles, roles, security and data access, setting up workflows, sharing rules and permission sets.
Keep up-to-date on new Salesforce features and help determine if we should implement internally.
Assist in training rollouts to new users and grow the application knowledge.

Qualifications:

Authorized to work for any U.S. employer
Ability to get a Federal Clearance
Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent years of experience
Certified Scrum Master certification, or equivalent
10+ years functioning as a Business Analyst for teams building custom software solutions for the federal government, or Salesforce Functional/Systems/Admin experience
Experience using Agile methodologies and tools, such as Jira and Confluence
Strong critical thinking skills
Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical staff
Ability to help teams write user stories/epics, identify dependencies, and design optimal solutions
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with strong presentation and facilitation skills
Strong interpersonal skills, customer-centric attitude, ability to deal with cultural diversity

Strong organizational and analytical skills

Preferred:

Masters Degree, or equivalent years of experience, preferably in Information Technology and a proven background in federal government contracting and project management

Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $125,000 to $140,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position. 4. Collects information by regularly speaking with top practitioners and government officials, attending industry events, obtaining relevant source material, and researching tips and leads.

5. Communicates story ideas, provides updates on writing assignments, and responds promptly to queries during editing process. Attends weekly editorial meetings.

6. May be required to travel to cover tax-related events in other cities or countries.

7. Adheres to established publication deadlines and style protocols (deadline may vary by publication or by project or article, but is generally 4PM - 5 PM.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Solid grounding in legal fundamentals; ability to wade through complicated topics to identify insights valuable to our subscribers.
Strong writing skills with an attention to detail and diligent sourcing essential.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact and develop source relationships with top government officials and their staffs, academics, lobbyists, and tax practitioners.
