Senior Charity and Agency Specialist .

The Senior Charity and Agency Specialist is responsible for working in conjunction with the Agency Team Lead and Manager to coordinate the vendor activities of the Vendor Management team.

Key Responsibilities include:

Demonstrates and applies knowledge of Federal guidelines as they relate to Medicare Bad Debt and Charity process.

Participate in conference calls/meetings and build relationships with vendor liaisons.

Directs any problems with accounts or identifies agency trends as needed to the appropriate Agency Team Lead and Manager.

Organize and facilitate processing of all vendor/agency requests and worklists within the department, as well as the Medicare Bad Debt and Charity accounts.

Reviews worklists to verify they are completed in a timely manner Review documentation received from patients who are applying for financial assistance with the facility.

Contact patient for additional information if needed for eligibility review.

Note accounts as appropriate Use all applicable websites in addition to financial information received from patients to determine if patient meets hospital defined financial assistance guidelines Review, process and analyze all reports related to monitoring and flow of patient accounts currently outsourced Other duties as assigned

The Atlantic Region CBO is seeking a dynamic and talented Commercial Billing Specialist.

The Commercial Billing Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely editing, preparation, submission of electronically and manually processed claims to third party payers in accordance with policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Completes all third party electronic and manual billing timely and accurately in accordance with appropriate rules and regulations.

Completes all payer specific edits identified through the billing system.

Resolves issues associated with incomplete claims including follow up of non-transmitted claims.

Submit adjustment claims to Medicare/Medicaid through use of online systems.

Attaches appropriate documents when billing manual claims including ER reports, itemized bills, implant invoices and other medical records.

Bulk mails all manual claims to individual payers daily.

Works all daily reports as assigned.

Records daily productivity of claims billed and assures proper documentation in the notes of the patient accounting systems.

Completes all monthly required in-services and educational training as required.

The Senior Charity and Agency Specialist is responsible for working in conjunction with the Agency Team Lead and Manager to coordinate the vendor activities of the Vendor Management team.

Key Responsibilities include:

Demonstrates and applies knowledge of Federal guidelines as they relate to Medicare Bad Debt and Charity process.

Participate in conference calls/meetings and build relationships with vendor liaisons.

Directs any problems with accounts or identifies agency trends as needed to the appropriate Agency Team Lead and Manager.

Organize and facilitate processing of all vendor/agency requests and worklists within the department, as well as the Medicare Bad Debt and Charity accounts.

Reviews worklists to verify they are completed in a timely manner Review documentation received from patients who are applying for financial assistance with the facility.

Contact patient for additional information if needed for eligibility review.

Note accounts as appropriate Use all applicable websites in addition to financial information received from patients to determine if patient meets hospital defined financial assistance guidelines Review, process and analyze all reports related to monitoring and flow of patient accounts currently outsourced Other duties as assigned.
