We have an immediate opening for an Underground Utility Pipefitter.\nResponsibilities:\nOur Underground Utilities Pipefitters are responsible for preparing and installing underground pipelines, most frequently water lines, storm and sanitary sewer. Their duties also include general labor and cleanup and may extend beyond this job description. An Underground Utility Pipefitter for K2 performs skilled work to install, troubleshoot and maintain underground utility systems. These duties include:\nInstall sanitary sewer, storm water sewer and consumable water structures and pipe systems.\nLay out pipe routes, following specifications or blueprints and coordinating layouts with supervisor.\nCut pipes to required lengths.\nAssist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction.\nAlign and position pipes to prepare them for welding or sealing.\nCheck slopes for conformance to requirements, using levels or lasers.\nConnect pipe pieces and seal joints, using welding equipment, cement or glue.\nTap and drill holes into pipes to introduce auxiliary lines or devices.\nCover pipes with earth or other materials.\nGrade and level trench bases, using tamping machines and hand tools.\nIntimate and working knowledge of industry standard hand signals.\nTrain others in pipe-laying techniques.\nOther general labor and construction related duties as required.\nEnvironmental Working Conditions\nAll work is performed outside in heat, cold, and inclement weather.\nExposure to all elements of nature\nExposure to all types of terrain\nExposure to loud noise\nExposure to fumes, odors, gasses, dusts, etc.\nWork in close proximity to heavy traffic\nPhysical Requirements\nStanding\nWalking\nClimbing, stooping and bending\nPeriodic lifting of 10 to 50 pounds\nK2 Construction offers a competitive salary and generous benefits which include the following:\nHealth, Dental, and Vision insurance\nLife and Disability Insurance\nPaid Holidays\nPaid Time Off\nMatching 401k
