The Residence Hall Director (RHD) is a full time, 10-month, live-in general staff member responsible for the daily operations of a residence hall or on-campus apartment. The Housing and Residence Life Office is committed to providing residents a comfortable, educational, diverse, and caring community where academic success, personal growth, and social responsibility are valued.\nA live-in position is one where the individual maintains an on-campus apartment as their primary residence. RHDs must reside in an on-campus apartment to fulfill the duties of the position. The department provides an apartment and meal plan to allow the RHD to be visible in their community, eat meals in the cafeteria, attend meetings and events regularly, and respond to emergencies within their community.

Job Description\nThe Residence Hall Director (RHD) is a full time, 10-month, live-in general staff member responsible for the daily operations of a residence hall or on-campus apartment. The Housing and Residence Life Office is committed to providing residents a comfortable, educational, diverse, and caring community where academic success, personal growth, and social responsibility are valued.

A live-in position is one where the individual maintains an on-campus apartment as their primary residence. RHDs must reside in an on-campus apartment to fulfill the duties of the position. The department provides an apartment and meal plan to allow the RHD to be visible in their community, eat meals in the cafeteria, attend meetings and events regularly, and respond to emergencies within their community.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in working with high school or college students\nPrevious work experience in Housing and Residence Life\nPossess good verbal communication, organizational, and time management skills

Roles, Duties, and Responsibilities :

The Residence Hall Director is responsible for cultivating a sense of belonging through a variety of student engagement and student success initiatives within the residence hall. The Residence Hall Director reports to the Director of Housing and Residence Life and collaborates with fellow staff members for programmatic initiatives, and the overall student experience of their assigned residential community. The duties and responsibilities are as follows:

Administrative Duties
