SUMMARY/JOB PURPOSE (Basic purpose of the job):

The Associate Director, Digital Marketing will be a key member of the Exelixis digital marketing team. Reporting to Director of Digital Marketing, this position will be responsible for developing and ensuring execution of strategically aligned non personal tactics within web and email channels, partnering closely with teammates focused on media channels. This position involves planning and executing high-quality, timely, and impactful digital customer experiences through key channels, working closely with promo marketing, legal, regulatory, BI, and technology/CSAO partners. This role will also own creative brief development and business requirements gathering for external agencies and internal partners. The ideal candidate has a strong pharma marketing and digital background, with solid understanding of how to use technology and data to achieve brand objectives for a pharmaceutical product with multiple indications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan and manage promotional website and email tactics that drive increased awareness of CABOMETYX for multiple FDA-approved indications and prepare for the launch of zanzalinitinib (pending FDA approval)
Develop and execute brand digital assets on time and on budget, in collaboration with promo marketing, legal, regulatory, BI, and technology/CSAO partners.
Translate marketing messaging and strategy into integrated, multi-channel marketing tactics.
Manage agency partners to ensure high-quality strategy, content, and execution.
Analyze web and email KPIs, conduct A/B testing, and suggest changes to web pages, emails, and subject lines to boost KPI performance
Partner with GI + GU Marketing, Sales, Market Access to ensure consistent messaging and customer experience across all digital assets
Develop A/B testing plans and content requirements for campaign optimization.
Seek opportunities to optimize, test, or advance new capabilities and share learnings across the organization.
Ensure successful alignment of digital programs to brand goals and regulatory compliance.
Lead the tactic submission for RAMP review and approval, coaching agencies on the process. Manage approval of digital marketing materials with Regulatory, Legal, and Medical
Partner with data analytics team and agencies on marketing data warehouse and performance dashboards for reporting NPP data and KPIs across channels
Provide expertise on digital trends in the marketplace, and assess new opportunities as they come to see overarching fit to our strategic plan

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in related discipline and 11 years of related experience; or
Master's degree in related discipline and 9 years of related experience; or
Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

Experience in product marketing, field sales, or market research/analysis in the pharmaceutical or biotech industries
Digital marketing experience across patient and healthcare professional audiences, including online media (SEO/SEM/display), lead gen, web, mobile, social, CRM, non-personal and field promotion channels.
Prior marketing experience working in Oncology product launch is preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Proven work experience as a Digital marketing strategist or Digital marketing manager
Extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical/biotech digital marketing; creative and insights-driven, adept at delivering ideas, content, and metrics.
Strong organizational and time management skills; proven abilities to effectively manage and complete multiple priorities and projects
Exceptional agency management to guide drive projects forward, help identify and remove roadblocks
Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and demonstrate strong collaboration skills
Reporting and analytics experience across media and digital channels
Hands on experience with online marketing tools and practices
Talent for blending innovation with pragmatic execution
Ability to draw insight from market research, the sales force, and other sources to optimize messaging, tactical plans, and promotional activities
Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills
Understanding of FDA Regulations of pharmaceutical drug promotions and experience with Legal, Medical and Regulatory review processes
Some business travel is required

The base pay range for this positionis $158,000 - $224,000 annually. The base pay range may take into account the candidate's geographic region, which will adjust the pay depending on the specific work location. The base pay offered will take into account the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, experience and internal equity, among other factors.In addition to the base salary, as part of our Total Rewards program, Exelixis offers comprehensive employee benefits package, including a 401k plan with generous company contributions, group medical, dental and vision coverage, life and disability insurance, and flexible spending accounts. Employees are also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus program, or if field sales staff, a sales-based incentive plan. Reporting to Executive Director of Digital Marketing, this position will be responsible for developing the branded franchise digital marketing strategy and ensuring execution of strategically aligned non personal tactics within web and email channels, partnering closely with teammates focused on media channels. This role will also be responsible for optimizing performance dashboards for monitoring marketing data and measuring performance of non-personal promotional campaigns across channels.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan and manage promotional website and email tactics that drive increased awareness of CABOMETYX for multiple FDA-approved indications and prepare for the launch of zanzalinitinib (pending FDA approval)
Oversee creative development of Brand digital assets on time and on budget, finding efficiencies in development and opportunities for modular design (websites, rep-triggered emails, HQ emails, SEO/SEM and other NPP as needed)
Manage approval of digital marketing materials with Regulatory, Legal, and Medical
Be the project manager for digital marketing campaigns and ensure timelines are met
Manage the digital agency of record, ensure the overarching digital strategy accomplishes the key brand goals across each indication
Analyze web and email KPIs, conduct A/B testing, and suggest changes to web pages, emails, and subject lines to boost KPI performance
Partner with GI + GU Marketing, Sales, Market Access to ensure consistent messaging and customer experience across all digital assets
Partner with GI + GU Marketing, Sales, IT, and CSAO on development of omnichannel journeys and AI use cases
Partner with analytics, agencies, and IT to evolve the marketing data warehouse and performance dashboards for reporting NPP data and KPIs across channels
Provide expertise on digital trends in the marketplace, and assess new opportunities as they come to see overarching fit to our strategic plan

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in related discipline and 13 years of related experience; or

Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

Experience in product marketing, field sales, or market research/analysis in the pharmaceutical or biotech industries
Digital marketing experience across patient and healthcare professional audiences, including online media (SEO/SEM/display), lead gen, web, mobile, social, CRM, non-personal and field promotion channels.
Prior marketing experience working in Oncology product launch is preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Proven work experience as a Digital marketing strategist or Digital marketing manager
Strong organizational and time management skills; proven abilities to effectively manage and complete multiple priorities and projects

The Associate Digital Marketing Director will be a key member of the Exelixis Marketing team, shaping the direction of our media channels and executing campaigns across all product indications. Reporting to the Director, Digital Marketing, this role will support the development of digital initiatives, connecting brand objectives to media solutions, and identifying opportunities to optimize and pilot innovative marketing tactics. This position involves planning and executing high-quality, timely, and impactful digital customer experiences through social and other innovative media platforms, working closely with promo marketing, legal, regulatory, BI, and technology/CSAO partners. A successful candidate will have broad experience across multiple aspects of media marketing, community, and platform management.

This role will also own creative brief development and business requirements gathering for external agencies and internal partners. The ideal candidate has a strong pharma marketing and digital background, with solid understanding of how to use technology and data to achieve brand objectives for a pharmaceutical product with multiple indications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan and execute non-personal promotional healthcare provider programs to drive sales and grow market share of CABOMETYX for FDA-approved indications.
Develop and implement high-impact digital customer experiences through social media and other innovative platforms in collaboration with promo marketing, legal, regulatory, BI, and technology/CSAO partners.
Translate marketing messaging and strategy into integrated, multi-channel marketing tactics.
Manage agency partners to ensure high-quality strategy, content, and execution.
Guide the planning and execution of paid social media campaigns.
Lead the development of social-first and other creative content.
Develop and enforce best practices for media delivery.
Educate the organization on influencer engagement and activation for patient and customer benefit.
Utilize internal analytics and external data to support insights and business-focused recommendations.
Create and oversee project plans and ensure key milestones, dependencies, and timelines are communicated across stakeholders.
Identify process improvements and set standards for an excellent customer experience.
Develop A/B testing plans and content requirements for campaign optimization.
Seek opportunities to optimize, test, or advance new capabilities and share learnings across the organization.
Ensure successful alignment of digital programs to brand goals and regulatory compliance.
Lead the tactic submission for RAMP review and approval, coaching agencies on the process.
Collaborate with the data and analytics team on marketing data integrations and reporting dashboards.
