
Objective of Role
NI Emerson enables fast and cost-effective design, validation, and test of cutting-edge semiconductor and electronics as a best-in-class test and measurement company. Within NI’s Semiconductor & Electronics Business Unit (SEBU), we break up the semiconductor business into various market segments or business lines. Our System Architects are responsible for articulating the technical future of our market segments, mapping out customer needs, and defining the requirements for systems and products built by NI.
To accelerate our growth, SEBU is looking for
System Architect Director
to lead our team of System Architects and directly own the architecture for one or more market segments and/or systems. The role requires exceptional leadership to lead a team of senior architects and coordinate across Business Managers, Product Managers, and Product Architects in R&D.
In this Role, you and your team responsibilities will be:
Sets the technical vision, timeframe, and lifecycle for system and solution capabilities in their market
Define system and solution technical requirements
Act as the technical counterpart to the business manager
Defines technical requirements for each system release
Evaluates the Statement of Work (SOW) for the system and products to ensure it aligns to system requirements
Anticipates market requirement trends through customer & market engagement
Understands user satisfaction and health of released systems and solutions
Provide the highest level system consulting for customer opportunities
Advise business and R&D on technical tradeoff decisions
For This Role, You Will Need:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
15+ years of experience in the Test and Measurement or related industries.
Deep technical knowledge of a particular Semiconductor and Electronics test market segment or application.
Broad experience across Mixed-Signal, RF, Validation, Characterization and Production test appreciated.
Proven ability to manage and develop senior technical talent.
Strong understanding of the semiconductor and electronics production and validation test markets.
Experience in working with dynamic cultures & countries, as part of a global organization
Excellent verbal and written English skills required.
Travel: This role is expected to travel internationally as customers, partners, OSATS are located around the globe. 10% travel expectations.
