Asset Management Lead
to oversee and elevate enterprise IT asset operations supporting the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving accountability, visibility, and optimization across end-user hardware and software assets in a large-scale, mission-critical environment.

Role Overview The Asset Management Lead provides senior-level leadership across the full IT asset lifecycle supporting 5,000+ end users across multiple locations. This role ensures operational excellence in asset acquisition, deployment, tracking, software license management, compliance, reporting, and disposal — all while aligning with federal property and accountability requirements.
This is both a strategic and hands‑on leadership role, responsible for optimizing processes, strengthening controls, and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage enterprise IT asset management operations for end‑user hardware and software
Oversee the complete asset lifecycle: receiving, storage, deployment, tracking, inventory control, reconciliation, and disposal
Provide leadership and direction to asset management staff
Coordinate with vendors, procurement teams, and internal stakeholders
Implement and manage electronic discovery and asset tracking tools (RFID, CompuTrace, BigFix)
Develop and maintain asset management procedures, governance standards, and reporting frameworks
Ensure compliance with federal property management and capitalization requirements
Manage software license compliance, optimization, and SAM initiatives
Lead audit preparation, reconciliation efforts, and inventory validation
Deliver accurate and timely asset utilization and accountability reporting to leadership
Drive asset management system enhancements and process improvements
Maintain strong vendor relationships and support procurement lifecycle activities
Qualifications Required Experience
Minimum
10 years of experience
leading IT asset management programs
Experience managing enterprise environments supporting
5,000+ end users
Strong background in asset tracking, deployment, license management, and disposal
Experience implementing and managing electronic discovery tools (RFID, CompuTrace, BigFix)
Knowledge of federal asset management, property accountability, and compliance standards
Education
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent professional experience
Substitutions (per contract guidelines):
No degree: 2 additional years of experience
Associate’s degree: 1 additional year of experience
Master’s or PhD: No additional experience required
Preferred Qualifications
ITAM certifications (IAITAM CSAM, CPAM, or similar)
Experience with asset management platforms such as ServiceNow ITAM
Strong understanding of Software Asset Management (SAM) programs
Familiarity with NIST and federal asset management frameworks
Demonstrated project leadership and program management experience
Excellent vendor negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
Clearance & Requirements
Must successfully complete a Public Trust background investigation and/or obtain a Public Trust clearance
Must be a U.S. Citizen
