This position is assigned an outreach territory covering Gaston County through Hickory and Boone, Western North Carolina, and extending south into the Greenville/Spartanburg, South Carolina region along the I‑85 corridor.
Due to the in‑person nature of outreach responsibilities, referral relationship management, and frequent mileage‑reimbursed field travel, candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance that allows them to reliably conduct weekly in‑person visits, respond promptly to referral partners, and travel efficiently throughout the assigned territory.
Position Overview: The Regional Outreach Liaison cultivates strong referral relationships, expands HopeWay’s visibility across key markets, and drives sustainable growth in client referrals. This position educates providers and community partners about HopeWay’s programs, identifies emerging behavioral health needs, supports seamless referral pathways, and leads territory strategies to grow the organization’s impact.

Responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities
Responsible for growing a sustainable pipeline of client referrals through relationship building with service providers and community partners
Gathering information current needs and trends within the behavioral health market
Interacting with referral sources face‑to‑face, over the phone, and via electronic communication
Planning and organizing educational events with current and potential service providers
Expands HopeWay Programs as a thought leader in the industry
Increases and develops a database of qualified leads from a variety of sources including referrals, telephone canvassing, email, and networking
Furnishes leads and opportunities, working in collaboration with other departments and programs
Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, and follow‑up activities within Salesforce
Participates and contributes to internal and external events and activities
Effectively organizes, plans and tracks weekly schedules for referral source contacts
Conducts face‑to‑face contact meetings per goals
Achieves monthly, quarterly and annual referral goals in accordance to established marketing goals
Represent HopeWay at regional and national conferences
Performs other duties as assigned.
This position is primarily remote and field‑based, with work performed from a home office and in the community. Regular local and regional travel is required. Periodic on‑site presence at HopeWay locations is expected for meetings, tours, trainings, and events.
