
Principal Enterprise Account Executive, FSI-Insurance

AWS is seeking a world class sales professional to join the Americas Insurance team and manage the customer relationship with one of the world’s largest insurance companies. The account manager will be responsible for providing business leadership and management of an account or discrete division of an account. The person will work hand‑in‑hand with the account team to achieve the customer’s business goals and accelerate the customer's transition to the public cloud.
The individual will build key customer relationships including with the customer’s CXOs, assess the customer’s largest business challenges, progress sales opportunities through to close and activation, align AWS resources, and curate solutions for the customer based on where they are at in their technology evolution.
Key Job Responsibilities
Build trusted advisor relationships within the account, articulating a clear vision and generating enthusiasm, while impacting all business groups.
Sell at the most strategic level within the account and implement a broad strategy for earning customer acceptance and service implementation.
Work with all appropriate AWS resources (Account Managers, Executives, Solution Architects, Business Development, Marketing, Partners, Support, Service teams and Professional Services) to support customer interests.
Help define product requirements by mapping these business needs to opportunities.
Act as the face of AWS to the account.
Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.
Own forecasting and quota attainment for the account.
Basic Qualifications
7+ years of technology related sales, business development or equivalent experience.
Bachelor’s degree, or experience in a relevant field.
Experience working with, presenting to, and negotiating with C‑level executives, IT, lines of business, procurement, finance, legal and internal stakeholders for sizeable commercial/enterprise deals.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience selling cloud solutions at a software company or equivalent.
Experience with the AWS platform, web services, software development, or related technologies.
Experience as a quota‑carrying technology field sales professional with a proven track record of success selling complex cloud solutions to large enterprises within Financial Services.

Base salary range for this position: USD 187,000.00 – 252,900.00 annually (NY, USA). The package includes sign‑on payments, restricted stock units, and sales incentives; final compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and location.
