Order Entry Pharmacy Technician
This is a full-time on-site role at Chesapeake Regional Rx in Wilmington, DE. As a key team member, you will be responsible for tasks related to order entry and ensuring accuracy in prescription processing to support the healthcare needs of our clients. As an Order Entry Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for accurately entering prescription orders and collaborating with the pharmacy team to support the medication dispensing process in our closed-door pharmacy. Our team is dedicated to ensuring order accuracy, working closely with pharmacists, and delivering exceptional customer service. Key responsibilities include prioritizing and triaging customer service requests based on department, urgency, and required information or response. You will also calculate and verify correct medication dosages according to prescriptions, provide dispensing pharmacists with critical information on allergies, drug interactions, therapeutic duplications, and other computer-generated alerts, and create and maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records. Qualifications include strong attention to detail and accuracy in order entry, proficiency in pharmacy software systems and technology, excellent communication skills for collaboration with the pharmacy team, and the ability to prioritize and manage tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
