
Job Description
We are seeking a freelance senior Content Producer to lead the conception, development, and launch of content-driven features for a large-scale streaming product ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of content, product, and technology, with a focus on elevating how users discover and experience new and existing media. You will partner closely with Product Management, UI/UX, and Engineering teams to define and deliver innovative content experiences that support key business goals. From shaping new product features in a TV/streaming environment to optimizing ongoing content production workflows, you’ll be responsible for driving projects from idea through launch and beyond.
12 month contract Hybrid to Culver City
Pay: $80-90hr DOE
Key Responsibilities
Own end-to-end content production for new and existing product features within a TV/streaming app environment, ensuring quality, consistency, and on-time delivery.
Translate business and product objectives into clear, actionable content strategies and production plans.
Lead cross-functional collaboration with Product, UI/UX, Engineering, Marketing, and external vendors to design and ship content-driven experiences.
Drive creative explorations and experimentation around new media formats, interaction models, and feature concepts that enhance streaming and content discovery.
Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including requirements, specs, production guidelines, and QA criteria for content features.
Partner with UI/UX teams to ensure content is tightly integrated with interface design, navigation, and interaction patterns.
Collaborate with Engineering to align on technical feasibility, data structures, content delivery workflows, and tooling requirements.
Manage complex production schedules, dependencies, and resources across multiple simultaneous feature initiatives.
Oversee vendor and agency relationships, including scopes of work, budgets, timelines, and deliverable quality.
Identify risks and roadblocks early, proposing and implementing solutions that protect timelines and quality.
Contribute to and evolve content standards, templates, and best practices for static, motion, and interactive media within the product.
Qualifications
Extensive experience in content production for digital products, ideally within streaming, OTT, or subscription-based services.
Proven track record producing content for new product features, from early discovery and concepting through launch.
Demonstrated success working cross functionally with Product, UI/UX, and Engineering teams on complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
Strong understanding of user experience principles as they relate to content discovery, personalization, and engagement in TV/streaming environments.
Hands‑on expertise with the creative production lifecycle, including briefing, creative development, asset production, localization, QA, and deployment.
Experience defining and documenting content requirements that directly inform product specs, technical implementation, and QA processes.
Ability to lead and facilitate highly cross‑functional meetings, synthesize input, and drive decisions that balance user needs, creative vision, and technical constraints.
Proficiency managing multiple workstreams, timelines, and competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate content strategies, feature requirements, and trade‑offs to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Experience managing external partners and agencies, including scoping, budgeting, and performance oversight.
