Operations & Sales Support Floater
The Operations & Sales Support Floater plays a versatile and critical role in supporting both yard operations and the inside sales team at Endura Steel. This position flexes based on business demand
assisting with material handling, shipping, and yard organization on some days, while supporting customer service, quoting, and administrative sales functions on others. This role ensures operational flow, customer responsiveness, and team alignment across departments. Yard & Operations Responsibilities
Load, unload, and move steel materials using forklifts and material-handling equipment. Pull, stage, band, and secure customer orders accurately. Assist with receiving deliveries and verifying material specifications. Maintain organized yard layout and proper inventory storage. Support shipping and delivery operations. Inspect equipment daily and report safety concerns. Perform basic equipment maintenance and housekeeping duties. Assist customers and drivers with locating and loading materials. Follow all PPE and safety requirements. Read and interpret job tickets and accurately measure material. Sales & Administrative Responsibilities
Assist Account Managers with quotes and pricing. Support walk-in and phone customers with product inquiries. Monitor customer accounts and assist with follow-ups. Maintain accurate bid tracking and sales records. Enter and update bids and sales orders in ERP system. Communicate with customers to gather project requirements. Support lead generation and customer outreach. Provide high-level customer service in a fast-paced environment. Collaborate with management regarding bid status and project timelines. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Strong attention to detail. Ability to multitask and shift priorities quickly. Strong communication skills (verbal and written). Basic computer proficiency required. Ability to read a tape measure. Forklift experience preferred. Steel industry experience preferred. Strong customer service mindset. Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move heavy materials. Standing and walking for extended periods. Working outdoors in various weather conditions. Sitting for prolonged periods when performing office tasks. Crouching, bending, and lifting. Core Competencies
