This role supports a steady stream of music-driven content across digital platforms — from artist features and product launches to documentary-style storytelling and short-form social edits. You’ll collaborate closely with producers, creative leads, and post supervisors to bring powerful stories to life through rhythm, emotion, and visual polish. This is an ongoing relationship for someone who understands music culture, pacing, and cinematic storytelling — not just cutting clips.
Responsibilities
Edit long-form and short-form music content (signature videos, performances, interviews, campaign video, guitar lifestyle content, social cuts).
Craft compelling narratives through pacing, music, and visual storytelling.
Design and animate basic to intermediate motion graphics (lower thirds, titles, transitions, branded elements).
Collaborate with producers and creative leadership to execute editorial vision.
Maintain consistent brand style across multiple content series.
Deliver exports for YouTube, social platforms, and internal presentations.
Manage projects efficiently under tight deadlines and evolving priorities.
Location This is primarily a work-from-home position, with occasional check-ins and tasks at our Gibson Los Angeles office.

Experience
3–5+ years professional editing experience (music, entertainment, or branded content preferred)
Strong storytelling instincts — you know how to build emotional momentum

Working knowledge of After Effects for motion graphics
Excellent sense of rhythm, timing, and musicality
Organized project workflow and clean file management
Ability to take creative direction and deliver independently
Reliable availability for ongoing retainer work
