Non Alc Relief Driver Sales Representative
Shore Point Distributing Company, one of New Jersey's largest beverage wholesalers, is expanding its Non Alcoholic Division and has an immediate opening for a motivated individual to join the team as a Non Alc Relief Driver Sales Representative. We are a family-owned beverage distributor located in Freehold, NJ, carrying an extensive portfolio of Beers, Wine, Spirits, and Non-alcoholic beverages throughout the state servicing Warren, Hunterdon, Burlington, Mercer, Somerset, Middlesex, Monmouth, and Ocean counties. The Non Alc Relief Driver Sales Representative plays a critical role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of non-alcoholic beverage products to various retail customers. This position combines driving responsibilities with sales and customer service, requiring the individual to maintain strong relationships with clients while managing inventory and product displays. The representative will act as the face of the company, promoting product knowledge and driving sales growth through direct customer engagement. Success in this role directly impacts customer satisfaction, brand reputation, and overall sales performance. The position demands a proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. Key responsibilities include: Operate company & personal vehicles safely and efficiently to deliver non-alcoholic beverage products to assigned routes and customers. Assume all responsibilities and direction for a route being covered while the assigned driver sales representative is unavailable. Assist in rotating stock, planograms, and pack out in assigned territories. Execute cooler and shelf resets and rearrangement of products as requested. Engage with customers to promote products, answer questions, and provide exceptional service to support sales objectives. Prepare palletized orders for replenishment on trucks, ensuring accurate stock counts and timely replenishment of products in the warehouse. Set up and maintain attractive product displays, point of sale, and equipment at customer locations to maximize visibility and sales. Document deliveries, collect payments when necessary, and report any discrepancies or issues to management promptly. Collaborate with the sales and logistics teams to optimize delivery routes and schedules. Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and local laws governing vehicle operation and product handling. Minimum qualifications include: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to operate delivery vehicles safely. Must be able to obtain a valid CDL Medical Certificate (CDL license not required) within 2 weeks of hire. Reliable transportation. High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience in a delivery or driver role, preferably within the non-durable goods or beverage industry. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally. Ability to lift and carry heavy products and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading. This role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain positive relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are met and sales opportunities are maximized. Organizational skills are essential for managing inventory, delivery schedules, and accurate record-keeping. Physical stamina and attention to safety protocols are critical for handling products and operating vehicles responsibly. Sales skills help in promoting products effectively and identifying opportunities to increase revenue during customer interactions. Additionally, problem-solving abilities enable the representative to address delivery challenges and customer concerns promptly, contributing to overall operational efficiency. This position offers a competitive weekly base rate with scheduled annual increases, a monthly Pay-for-Performance (PFP) bonus, and a monthly cell phone stipend. Employees in this role receive overtime pay for qualifying hours worked over 40 per week.
