Get to know Thompson! Thompson was founded in 1886 as an orphanage and has grown into an organization operating across the Carolinas, Florida, Tennessee, and Kentucky. Thompson’s continuum of care encompasses three domains: prevention, mental health services, and foster care. All Thompson programs are trauma‑informed and evidence‑based/evidence‑informed with the intention of building resilience in our clients (ages 0‑18) and their families, both virtually and in person. What will you do as a Social Media Manager?

Create and execute comprehensive social media strategies tailored to our goals and target audience.

Identify emerging trends and opportunities to ensure Thompson stays ahead of the curve.

Develop compelling, on‑brand content for various platforms, including graphics, videos, and written posts.

Collaborate with team members to produce engaging materials.

Monitor, respond to, and engage with audiences across platforms to build relationships and foster loyalty.

Address inquiries, comments, and feedback promptly and professionally.

Track, analyze, and report on social media performance using industry‑standard tools.

Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve engagement and ROI.

Plan, execute, and optimize paid social media campaigns to achieve objectives.

Monitor ad performance and adjust strategies as needed to maximize results.

What does this position offer?

Starting Pay Range: $50‑$65k annually

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

Valid Driver’s License required.

3+ years of professional social media management experience.

Demonstrated success in growing social media accounts and achieving measurable results.

Proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube).

Experience with social media management tools.

Exceptional writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail and tone.

Deep understanding of social media algorithms, trends, and best practices.

Familiarity with analytics tools (Google Analytics, platform‑specific insights).

Experience with paid social media campaigns and budget management.

Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling.

Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams.
