We’re looking for a hands-on Retail Media & Community Activation Specialist to drive Kari Traa’s retail marketing and consumer events across Germany and Austria. In this full-time role, you will manage digital retail media with key accounts, co-develop and execute seasonal campaigns, and coordinate community participation events with our retail partners. This role is office-based a minimum of 3 days per week in Gmund am Tegernsee (south of Munich) with regular travel to retailers and events.
What you’ll do
Digital (retail) media management Plan, activate, and optimize retailer media and co-op programs (on-site/off-site, newsletters, social, display) Build account-specific media calendars aligned with sell-in/sell-through and seasonal stories; manage briefs, assets Track and report KPIs (reach, CTR, conversion, ROAS, sell-through uplift) Manage POS and ensure brand consistency across placements Customize and distribute marketing portal and deliver high-quality product content to partners Co-create 360° retail campaigns for seasonal drops with top accounts: media plans, POS/toolkits, windows, in-store takeovers, local influencers/ambassadors Plan and execute consumer events that get more women moving—e.g., run clubs, hikes, ski tours, community workouts, women’s nights Cross-functional
Work closely with Sales, Global Marketing and PR to align calendars and messaging Support retail staff training on product/brand storytelling and VM guidelines What you’ll bring
1–3 years of experience in retail/trade marketing, digital retail media, or field/community marketing—ideally in sports/outdoor, apparel, or consumer brands Understanding of GER/AT sporting goods/outdoor retail landscape and retail media opportunities Working knowledge of digital advertising and analytics (e.g., retailer media platforms, Meta/Google basics, Excel); confident with KPIs and reporting Strong project management and vendor coordination; able to run multiple timelines under pressure Native in German, fluent in English (spoken and written); additional CE language a plus Creative eye and brand sense; basic design briefing skills; copywriting proficiency in German Willingness to travel across the region (approx. 30–40%) and work some evenings/weekends for events; valid driving license Education
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Sports Management, or equivalent practical experience Location and work setup
