Overview
This role is for a Business Analyst (Specialist) in the Oil & Gas sector, offering a 12-18 month contract at $[pay rate]. Requires proficiency in SQL, Excel, PowerBI, and project management, with a focus on safety data analysis. Hybrid location: Houston, TX or Calgary, AB.
Location: Houston, TX or Calgary, AB; Hybrid position requiring 2 days onsite.
Responsibilities
- Project managing Power App build requests
- Developing solutions in the Power Platform space (PowerApps, PowerBI, Power Automate)
- Building predictive models to anticipate potential hazards
- Conducting statistical analysis on the root causes of incidents
- Querying databases to track safety KPIs
- Presenting findings to cross-functional stakeholders
- Reporting tasks related to monthly reporting
Mandatory Skills
- Technical knowledge in data manipulation, statistical analysis, and data visualization
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and PowerBI
- Ability to communicate complex safety-related information clearly
- Experience with project management
- Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills
- Good to excellent communication skills
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Enablon or EHSM platforms
- Background in safety data analysis
- Familiarity with safety performance AI build roadmap
- Understanding of safety classification and learning models
- Market research experience for data collection tools
