
Preconstruction Executive

Position Summary
The Preconstruction Executive will report to the Director of Preconstruction and will be responsible for jointly managing available resources to align with a sales plan that does not outpace the businesses capabilities.
Currently the Preconstruction Executive does not have any direct reports, but that may change in the future as the business evolves. In the meantime the expectation is that they will work jointly with the Proposal Manager, Preconstruction Leads & Preconstruction Manager in order to respond to RFQ and RFPs.
Position Details Serves as primary lead with select General Contractors (GCs).
Drives growth through development of client relationships as well as deeper penetration into the existing customer base that exists through our design-build relationships.
Develops and maintains General Contractor relationships.
Supports business development in the maintenance of customer relationships and in support of specific project pursuits.
Offers technical expertise and advice during the entire sales timeline from lead, to prospect to pursuit.
Partners with the Business Development team on pursuits as they become qualified pursuits and then leads the team to close the deal.
Actively participates in design meetings during development phase.
Works with management to develop strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
Four Year Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management
10+ Year’s Experience in the construction industry.
Detailed knowledge of construction methods, equipment, systems and materials for all divisions of work and relationship to the design and construction phases of a project.
Comprehensive knowledge of Estimating, Budgeting, and Preconstruction Planning processes
Strong skills in Project Management, Scope Development, and Stakeholder Collaboration
Proficiency in Construction Documentation Review and Quality Assurance
Effective leadership, communication, and teamwork abilities
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience in construction, engineering, or related industries
Familiarity with relevant software tools is a plus

Pay Final pay is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. For (Colorado/New York City/California/Washington/Maryland) this ranges from $170,000.00-$220,000.00 plus annual incentive, benefits, and retirement program as outlined above.
Contingent Employment All employment offers are contingent upon successful drug tests, background checks, and professional reference checks. Roles that include driving as an essential job duty will be required to have a successful Motor Vehicle Record check (MVR). We are not able to offer sponsorship of employment at this time.
