Clinical Development and Operations Modernization:
You will lead the development of innovative solutions to modernize and accelerate the clinical trials process. This includes creating data‑driven platforms to optimize trial design and site selection, enhance patient recruitment and retention through digital tools, and enable decentralized clinical trials. You will drive the adoption of our data platform to unify and analyze complex clinical data from various sources (EDC, ePRO, wearables), applying AI to gain real‑time insights and improve patient safety and outcomes.
Smart Manufacturing and GxP Compliance:
You will lead our strategy for bringing Pharma 4.0 and intelligent manufacturing to the life sciences industry. This involves developing solutions for process analytical technology (PAT), predictive quality, and yield optimization in a compliant GxP (Good {Clinical, Laboratory, Manufacturing} Practice) environment. You will guide customers in building resilient, agile supply chains and creating digital twins of their manufacturing processes, all while ensuring adherence to the strictest regulatory standards like 21 CFR Part 11.
Data, AI, and Thought Leadership:
You will champion the use of Google’s platforms to break down longstanding data silos across R&D, clinical, and commercial operations, enabling the use of real‑world data (RWD) and real‑world evidence (RWE) at scale. As the public face and thought leader for Google Cloud in Life Sciences, you will represent us at major industry events like the J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference and BIO International Convention, engaging with regulatory bodies, and articulating a powerful vision for the secure, intelligent, and data‑driven future of the industry.
Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements.
Here’s what you need
Bachelor’s degree in a Life Sciences discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering), Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate’s Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience)
Minimum of15 years of experience in a senior leadership role within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device company, or at a technology company exclusively serving the life sciences sector.
Minimum of 7 years of deep domain expertise in at least one major area of the life sciences value chain: R&D, clinical development, manufacturing, or regulatory affairs.
Minimum of 7 years of experience and proven track record of leading large‑scale, technology‑driven business transformation projects in a regulated GxP environment.
Here’s what you need
Advanced degree (e.g., PhD, MD, MBA).
Direct experience leveraging a public cloud platform (preferably Google Cloud) for scientific computing (HPC), clinical data analysis, or other demanding life sciences workloads.
