About the Role We are seeking an
NX Mechanical Tooling Designer
with experience in designing
guarding and cat tracks . This is a
fully on‑site
position at our Saginaw, MI facility. No travel is required. The assignment is expected to be
long‑term .
Responsibilities As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will support various aspects of process engineering, including:
Assisting in
process development ,
system layout , and
process verification
Evaluating
product/process changes , cycle times, and ergonomics
Supporting joining requirements (weld, SPR, TOX, etc.) and staging
Selecting and validating joining equipment
Assisting with spare parts lists, documentation, instructional manuals, and reporting
Supporting quoting and estimating activities
Interpreting
automotive product drawings
and manufacturing specifications
Required Experience
2–3 years
of NX tooling design experience preferred
Experience with
guarding
and
cat track
design required
Education
Associate degree from a two‑year college or technical school
OR
3–5 years of relevant experience and/or training
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
