Dorsey & Whitney LLP is seeking a Real Estate Associate with at least two years of experience to join our Minneapolis office. This associate will have the opportunity to work on a wide array of complex real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development and financing.
Responsibilities
Drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements and coordinating closings
Drafting and negotiating leases and lease amendments
Drafting and negotiating mortgage loan documents
Overseeing title and survey reviews and other real estate due diligence
This associate will join Dorsey’s Real Estate Practice Group with attorneys across the U.S. who represent developers, investors, lenders and borrowers, landlords and tenants, property managers, and contractors, as well as corporate users and governmental authorities, in connection with the acquisition, disposition, financing, leasing, property management, operation and development of real estate.
Qualifications
At least two years of commercial real estate experience
Excellent communication and writing skills
Top academic credentials
Minnesota bar admission
For Minneapolis applicants only, the salary range for this position is $210,000 – $300,000. Pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. The individual hired for this position may have the option of electing a lower billable‑hours track with a proportional reduction in salary. Associates are eligible to participate in Dorsey’s associate bonus program, subject to the program’s conditions and restrictions.
