Job Description The Director of Strategy & Innovation will partner with individuals across Allergan Aesthetics to identify and tackle priority strategic projects, critical to the current and future business. Combines strategic thinking, analytic rigor, and project management skills to help define actionable solutions to complex problems. Coordinates across AbbVie and Allergan Aesthetic functions to bring together the best of the organizations, to enable the business to continue to advance aesthetic medicine and empower confidence in our customers and their patients.
The position requires strong analytical skills, as well as the ability to translate strategic vision into tactical actions, identify the highest impact ideas and plans, and focus efforts to enable cross‑functional teams to deliver powerful results.
Qualifications
Partner with VP and executive level stakeholders to help answer key decisions that impact the current and future state of Allergan Aesthetics’ business
Act as a convener, bringing together colleagues from across functions to create and deliver consensus‑driven solutions
Leverage knowledge and experience to understand the evolving treatment landscape, changing techniques, and unmet patient needs in the aesthetic medicine space, and their associated strategic implications
Create a structured approach and guide progress against multiple concurrent projects, driving the problem‑solving process, supporting research and analytics, and distilling pragmatic recommendations
Owns follow‑up actions for unresolved questions with appropriate sense of urgency. Completes follow‑up informational calls, follow ups for next steps, emails and/or case updates to customers and sales representatives (when necessary) within service level requirements.
Performs leadership duties for and on behalf of the Executive Director and Head of Strategy & Innovation for Allergan Aesthetics
Demonstrates a passion for delivering impact and inspires by example
Stays current on all product knowledge and communicates directly with internal stakeholders to build knowledge, loyalty, and confidence in the Strategy & Innovation team
Maintains confidential information including, but not limited to, proprietary corporate information, specifications of products, product information, customer information and personal performance.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree required
Master of Business Administration is preferred
Minimum of 10 years’ experience leading corporate or commercial strategy and execution for healthcare or pharmaceutical organizations required
Healthcare and pharma industry experience at a project manager level within a top‑tier strategic consulting firm preferred

Ability to effectively handle and lead multiple tasks/projects independently
People leadership if applicable
Drive, energy, and passion to advance AbbVie’s mission

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off (vacation, holidays, sick), medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
This job is eligible to participate in our short‑term incentive programs.
Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable.
