
Member Outreach Representative (Outbound Calls)

Description
New Member Welcome representatives will ensure members understand the plan they've purchased by providing benefits and ensuring members have access to the care they need. They assign primary care physicians, schedule appointments as needed, and assist members in transitioning pharmacy items to an IGP or community pharmacy. They act as a resource for internal and external customers, helping to resolve complex care issues and assisting with member retention by providing superior service experiences while resolving complaints and inquiries in writing and over the telephone.
These employees will make outbound calls to assist Medicare members in scheduling Annual Wellness Visits. This is a call center position that requires member contact and outreach to approximately 50 people per day.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Minimum two (2) years of insurance call center experience OR minimum one (1) year of experience in the health plan or delivery system (internal).
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of medical terminology, advanced coding, and Medicare training.
Analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Computer skills.
Disqualifier:
Time off over the course of the contract.
Work From Home Requirements
A connection with 20 Mb+ download and 8–10 Mb upload speeds is REQUIRED.
Must be able to hardwire to the internet modem and cannot access internet wirelessly.

Workspace

Telecommuting should not be viewed or used as a substitute for dependent care. Telecommuters must make regular dependent‑care arrangements while telecommuting.
This is a remote work opportunity, but not suitable for nomadic employment. Candidates must reside in Washington or Idaho during their contract for employment with Kaiser Permanente and cannot travel with their equipment.
Equipment supplied to all home agents includes a computer, two monitors, keyboard, mouse, headset, and webcam.
Agents are expected to join training and scheduled meetings with camera on.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Renton, WA.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 – $24.00 per hour.
