General Description JOIN OUR TEAM AS A CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE I! The Pasco County Property Appraiser's Office proudly serves one of Florida's fasting-growing counties in a time of unprecedented expansion and investment. We're seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, team-player to join our team. The ideal Customer Service Representative I candidate will possess a demonstrated background in answering/transferring inbound calls, as well as providing an exceptional in-person guest experience for walk-in customers. Primary duties include homestead exemption processing and general inquiries, as well as data entry work using math calculations. This position acts as a liaison for the Property Appraiser's office and works with all departments based on the customer's needs. This position operates in a professional office environment.

This is an entry level position that is less technical in nature and requires more supervisor assistance than a Customer Service II position. Team members are required to acquire and demonstrate all knowledge and skills listed below.

This position reports to the Director of Service Operations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to communicate effectively via phone, in-person and in writing.

Ability to operate a computer, including Word and Excel software and the ability to learn and comprehend industry software, standard office procedures and Florida Statutes, Pasco County ordinances, and all administrative rules and regulations related to Florida property Appraisal.

Possess excellent customer service etiquette.

Organizational skills a must.

Ability to work in a team-oriented, professional atmosphere.

Ability to multitask, prioritize and complete assignments effectively, efficiently and with accuracy.

Strong math skills a plus.

Bilingual proficiency (fluent in English and Spanish) a definite plus, but not a requirement.

Must have reliable transportation. The Property Appraiser has three office: New Port Richey, Land O' Lakes, Dade City. Occasional work/rotation from a "home" office assignment is required.

Minimum Requirements Physical Skills/Working Conditions Ability to communicate effectively using verbal, written and visual communication. This position operates in a professional office environment.

Education, Training and Experience Graduation from high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma.

Licenses, Certifications or Registrations Must possess a valid Florida driver's license.
