What You'll Do
Support the development of strategies to build and maintain relationships that help advance development projects through approvals and community processes (e.g., zoning changes, annexations, variances, and community engagement activities)
Facilitate town halls, group meetings, and one-on-one conversations with community members, stakeholders, and partners
Research and provide background on key community stakeholders to better understand priorities, interests, and potential concerns related to development projects
Identify opportunities to partner with community organizations and local groups to foster positive community sentiment around development initiatives
Help create meaningful, thoughtful engagement approaches that strengthen relationships between projects and the communities they serve
Collaborate with internal project teams across the country to understand project‑specific challenges and recommend effective engagement strategies
Contribute creative, outside-the-box ideas to help projects integrate positively into their surrounding communities
Work closely with the broader development team to understand the real estate development lifecycle and identify optimal moments for proactive community engagement
Assist with a variety of development‑related tasks as needed to support projects in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment

Demonstrated interest in community engagement, public affairs, or development‑related initiatives
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences
Energetic, resourceful, and hands‑on with a strong service‑oriented mindset
Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize information into clear, actionable insights
Highly detail‑oriented with excellent organizational and follow‑through skills
Able to approach challenges with both logical rigor and creative thinking
Confident and professional when interacting with internal teams and external stakeholders
Effective collaborator who can also work independently and take initiative
Discreet and trusted in handling confidential information
Strong time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
