In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and targeting prospective new business leads while collaborating with our organizational team to drive success of current life science customer’s business growth. As the Sr. Director of Business Development - Commercial, you will drive customer success for
Deployment Solutions
and Syneos Health Commercial Solutions overall with local, regional, and global accounts. You will:
Identify prospective customer needs, identify the strategies, tactics, and people required to address the need.
Review and manage pipeline information and customer relationships with competitors to identify potential new business leads, growth opportunities or future competitive trends.
Document all activities in customer relationships management system for management view and oversight.
Monitor industry trends, analyze and sell against competitors and identify new market opportunities.
Build and nurture C-suite and executive level partnerships and client relationships.
Advanced degree in Business or Life Sciences field (Preferred).
8 years’ experience in the life science industry in commercial sales, marketing, operations and/or business development capacity.
Proven track record to manage multiple selling strategies and approaches to market within commercial sales.
Action oriented and results driven - move quickly and with purpose and has relevant experience in a B2B, consultative sales environment.
Desired Requirements
This position is
West Coast
based and can be remotely based near an airport. Travel required 50% of the time to meet with clients and visit Syneos Health offices across the US. Ideal locations include San Francisco and San Diego.
Proven experience in identifying, negotiating and closing high-value solutions and contracts.
8 years’ customer or service side or 8+ years’ experience selling to
biopharmaceutical
industry sales/marketing or operations decision makers.
Previous pharma rep/medical sales and manager background desirable.
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $175,000 to $210,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
