RESIDENTIAL LEASING CONSULTANT-PROPERTY MANAGEMENT
VineBrook Homes is an internally managed real estate investment company focused on acquiring, renovating, leasing, and operating single-family homes as rental properties. The company began operations in late 2007 and is a pioneer in the single‑family rental (SFR) asset class.
The portfolio currently includes approximately 14,000 homes, with an expansion goal of 25,000+ homes across key secondary and tertiary markets.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The Residential Leasing Consultant is responsible for leasing and marketing our single‑family rental homes (SFRH).
The role requires maintaining a positive relationship with current and future residents while delivering excellent customer service.
The ideal candidate is a team player with strong customer service experience, self‑motivation, and excellent organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage leads, follow up on inquiries, and market homes to minimize vacancy
Schedule and conduct showings for prospective residents
Pre‑qualify residents and secure applications
Provide customer service to current residents
Create lease agreements and file completed paperwork
Work full time (minimum 40 hours per week)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES EXPECTED FOR THIS POSITION
Exceptional customer service skills
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Proficient using computers and property management software
TRAVEL
Daily travel in the local market for showings during business hours; vehicle stipend available for eligible candidates
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or equivalent
One to three years of previous experience in customer service or hospitality
Fair Housing Certification or willingness to obtain
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Associate's Degree or higher
Experience using YARDI Software
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Valid driver's license
Pass a motor vehicle, credit, and criminal background check
Pass a drug screen
