WHAT YOU WILL DO As the Director of Franchise Growth & Development Strategy, you will be responsible for shaping and executing Primrose’s disciplined, high-quality franchise expansion strategy. This role focuses on sourcing and evaluating strong, well-capitalized franchise partners; structuring realistic multi-unit development commitments; and ensuring growth plans are financially sound and executable. You will partner closely with Franchise Development, Franchise Administration, Real Estate, Finance, and Marketing to translate market opportunity and unit economics into thoughtful growth decisions that support sustainable net unit growth and long-term brand health.
Lead the sourcing, evaluation, and award of high-quality franchise partners capable of executing multi-unit development agreements
Drive disciplined franchise growth by structuring realistic, well-capitalized development commitments aligned with long-term brand strategy
Create and maintain long-term relationships required to facilitate large investment opportunities
Partner with Franchise Marketing to build and maintain a strong, qualified franchisee pipeline in priority markets
Manage the development agreement process from initial qualification through award and onboarding
Evaluate franchise candidates’ financial strength, liquidity, and long-term development capacity
Translate market opportunity, whitespace analysis, and unit economics into credible growth narratives
Underwrite franchisee development plans, pacing, and return expectations prior to awarding agreements
Collaborate with Real Estate, Construction, Finance, and Operations to assess feasibility, timelines, and execution risk
Bring a practical understanding of real estate development into growth decisions to ensure agreements convert into opened schools
Facilitate cross-functional communication to support a successful “lead to award to opening” lifecycle
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time; travel may be minimal in some months and frequent in others based on business needs
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor’s degree required; Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business preferred
3–5+ years of experience in franchise development, growth strategy, finance, or a related field
Experience with multi-unit franchise development or franchise sales preferred
Strong business and financial acumen, including evaluating unit economics and development returns
Experience working directly with franchisees, owner-operators, or sophisticated investors
Working understanding of real estate or development fundamentals
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable operating in ambiguity with high accountability and ownership
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
MBA a plus, but not required
