Job Overview & Purpose
The Large Format Print Operator – Show Site Graphics Lead is responsible for the hands-on production, finishing, and preparation of large-format graphics for trade shows, corporate events, and internal needs across Heritage’s branches. This position focuses on operating printing and finishing equipment, maintaining production quality, and ensuring graphics are produced accurately and efficiently to meet event timelines.
In addition to shop-based production responsibilities, this role serves as the Show Site Graphics Lead as needed—overseeing on-site graphics installation, coordinating with foremen and project teams, and troubleshooting graphic-related issues during move-in, show days, and dismantle to ensure brand consistency and execution success.
This is a production and installation leadership role, not a graphic design position.

Key Responsibilities & Duties Primary Responsibilities
Operate and maintain large-format roll-to-roll and flatbed printers (e.g., HP, Roland, Vutek), RIP software, and finishing equipment
Trim, laminate, mount, and package graphic materials for shipping while maintaining production accuracy and quality standards
Prepare digitally printed rolls and apply graphics to panels, substrates, and structures
Perform quality control checks at key stages of the production process to ensure final output meets project specifications
Follow approved graphic proofs, schematics, and layouts for fabrication and application
Execute basic file prep and pre-flight review prior to production (not creative design)
Maintain accurate documentation, labeling, and manifesting of graphic panels and packages
Coordinate with internal teams (Pre-Press, Project Management, Fabrication, Warehouse) to align print requirements and timelines
Track materials, report shortages, and communicate reorders to Purchasing
Maintain production equipment and work areas in a safe, organized condition
Additional Responsibilities
Serve as Show Site Graphics Lead, including:
Installing and applying graphics during move-in and throughout the event
Coordinating with the production manager, project managers, and foremen on-site
Leading on-site graphics deployment and sequencing
Managing graphic-related issues on-site and escalating when required
Reviewing show books, floorplans, schematics, and proofs prior to site arrival
Ensuring branding consistency, installation quality, and adherence to show standards
Cross-train in other areas of the Creative Production and Graphics departments
Train and mentor team members on equipment use, production standards, and installation best practices
Support warehouse, logistics, and load‑out activities as needed
Participate in team meetings and contribute to process and efficiency improvements
Work Environment & Physical Demands This position is full‑time and in‑person, requiring on‑site support at trade show events and in other Heritage facilities, including overnight travel and weekend/extended work hours based on event schedules.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, grasping, and repetitive hand motion. Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 50 lbs.

Required Skills & Qualifications Required
High school diploma or equivalent
0–3 years of experience in large-format print production and finishing (substrate application, laminating, trimming, taping, weeding, mounting)
Familiarity with roll-to-roll and flatbed printer operation
Proficiency in:
RIP software (preferred)
Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator – basic/pre-flight use only)
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Google Docs and Sheets
Ability to read and interpret schematics, layouts, and scaled drawings
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask under tight deadlines
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for show support
Preferred
Experience in trade show, event services, signage, or exhibit environments
Prior on‑site installation or lead experience
Familiarity with print production workflows across multiple substrates
